IT is full steam ahead at TRI Equestrian in the Curragh, as the popular equestrian shop is now operating behind closed doors for the next two weeks. The shop continues to offer free deliveries on orders nationally. Although the new established ‘Drive Thru’ is closed, staff are fulfilling orders via online channels, phone orders and web orders on triequestrian.ie.

Over the last number of weeks, management and staff have put into place initiatives, which allowed equestrians to remain stocked up while at the same time operating within HSE guidelines.

Earlier in the crisis, with concerns over both their staff and customer safety, it was decided to close the shop, construct a ‘Drive Thru’ service and offer free deliveries on online orders. Also, in a bid to provide some distraction for customers, they are also running a series of competitions on their Facebook page, TRI Equestrian. The message from TRI is that they are there to serve their customers and to help where they can. They are also conscious about the effects on other services and have reached out to their local animal shelter by donating products.

CEO of TRI Ireland, Brendan Murphy said: “The safety of our staff and our customers was the primary driver in changing how we do business at our shop in the Curragh. We provide an essential service to the equestrian industry and therefore closing completely wasn’t an option. The design of our building and the size of our car park facilitated a very creative solution, which was the Drive Thru which worked very well but is now closed due to the latest restrictions, but we are now getting the orders out behind closed doors. How we all operate and transact has needed to change to deal with the current crisis and at TRI, we will do our part to stop the spread of the virus while keeping the wheels of industry moving. Our operation is now behind closed doors, but very much in action and will continue to do so during this crisis. We thank all our staff for getting behind these efforts.”
