WEXFORD’s Jillie Rogers BHSI, BETCM, was awarded a prestigious Bodynfoel Award during The British Horse Society’s (BHS) annual awards ceremony, held at Saddlers’ Hall in London, last month. Jillie was presented with the award for her excellent service in promoting the work of the BHS.

Speaking afterwards, Jillie said: “I am so thrilled, it’s just amazing. I do this work because I love it and I love the BHS and promoting the charity in Ireland, it’s everything to me.”

As chief assessor for the BHS, Jillie was praised for embracing all BHS qualifications across all levels and working tirelessly in Ireland to help promote good equine welfare. Jillie often liaises with other equestrian organisations to forge links, build strong relationships and promote the vital work and standards of the BHS.

A total of 29 awards were handed out at this year’s ceremony, celebrating the fantastic work carried out by BHS volunteers, committee members and supporters across all areas of the society’s work.
