RIDERS are set to take to the catwalk - all in aid of charity.

Next Thursday will see Warrington Pony Club members strut their stuff on the catwalk in Langtons Hotel, Co Kilkenny, to help raise funds for their old club and for Make a Wish Charity Foundation.

The charity received an extra boost as AXA Insurance has promised to double the donation.

The theme is Made in Chelsea meets Only Fools and Horses, so expect high jinks on the night!

Irish showjumpers modelling on the night will include Eddie Maloney, Paddy O’Donnell, Vincent Byrne, Tholm Keane and a host of other equestrian professionals.

Local sports legends also modelling will include rugby’s Mick Galwey, snooker and Irish pool champion Danielle Randall, former All-Ireland camogie captain Tracy Millea, and James Fennelly, four-time winner of Ireland’s Strongest Man.

County hurlers from past and present are also taking part with Michael Fennelly, Cillian Buckley and Eoin Murphy joining the riders on the catwalk.

The organisers have even roped in master yoga instructor Imelda Norris and professional dancers Rachael Ellard and Ger Hayes to model.

Winner of Top Model Ireland 2017, Krister Timusk will show the amateur models how it’s done on the night. He advised, “if the press photoshoot is anything to go by, there will be a lot of horsing around with this lot!”

Retailers on show on the night will include The Design Centre, Paul’s Department Store, Lady Lorna, Peaches, 38CO, Warrington Equestrian Shop, The Wardrobe, Richard Duggan, Frank Walls, Villa and Hats by Turning Head Hat Hire and Michelle Treacy Millinery.

There will also be prizes for Best Dressed Lady and Gent on the night.

Ger Hayes from Lord of the Dance plans to dazzle the audience at the interval and there will be plenty of raffle prizes and a DJ until late.

Honestly, Pony Tales does not think these Fools & Horses could pack anymore in! So please come along and support them as tickets are only €10 and are available from Warrington Equestrian Centre on 056 772 2682 or Langton’s Hotel on 056 7765133.
