Honours for Hannah and Helen

TWO members of the Irish Long Distance Riding Association (ILDRA) made history within the group last year and were recognised for their achievements at the Association’s recent awards event held in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dundalk.

Hannah Catterall and her horse Ellanora were the first ILDRA members to receive a 2,000-mile pleasure ride award while Helen McFarland was presented with a 13,000-mile competitive award which entailed a lot of endurance rides! Congratulations to them both and to all the other winners (see results pages 100-101).

The ILDRA has been asked to host this year’s Home International and Celtic Challenge Championship and will be doing so at the St Patrick’s Coast Ride on Saturday and Sunday, September 5th and 6th.
