SLIGO Hunt Pony Club came up with a novel twist on social distancing over the mid-term break when they held a virtual Halloween Spooky Dress Competition.
The young members proved very imaginative as they decorated themselves and their ponies with the most scary, ghoulish outfits.
They then sent in photos and videos of their spooky masterpieces to be judged by none other than Irish international and Olympian Cian O’Connor! He had a very difficult time choosing the winners but eventually settled on the following:
U10s – 1st prize went to Lula Hughes as a ‘Spooky Ghost Rider’.
Over 10s – Joint 1st went to Ellen O’Hara as Cruella De Vil with her ‘Dalmation’, and Mia Gately as a Vampire riding her ‘Evil Unicorn’.
Sligo Hunt Pony Club organisers wish to say a massive ‘well done’ to all their competitors and a huge ‘thank you’ to Cian for his generosity with both his time and the Karlswood Stable goodies he donated as prizes!
