DESPITE the Covid-19 restrictions, the inaugural Equestrian Business Network booklet went to print last week and is now available to pick-up in equestrian outlets nationwide. Brought to readers by the newly formed Equestrian Business Network, the booklet features a selection of businesses offering services and products to equestrian throughout Ireland.

The EBNI was formed in 2019 by Tara Lane and its aim is to bring small and medium businesses that operate in the equestrian sector together to support, educate and cross-promote each other.

Tara is well familiar with the demands of Irish equestrian business as she runs Centrepiece Rosettes from a workshop in an old coach house in the yard of her family home, Bridestream House, a former equestrian centre, where she resides with her family and mother, Anne Lane.

Tara formally worked with the County Kildare Chamber of Commerce as Membership and Events Manager and is 2020 President of Network Ireland Kildare Branch, an organisation supporting the professional and personal development of women.

“I wanted to bring together all the many businesses that are supplying equestrian services and products into yards so that we can support and cross-promote each other. There are 49 different businesses advertising in the booklet, each business gets 50 copies to hand to their customers, therefore we are promoting each other. We also had a zoom call to meet each other and learn about our businesses so that we can recommend the different people in the booklet.

“I published 5,000 of these booklets and next year I hope to double it and have it available on the Centrepiece Rosettes stand at the Dublin Horse Show. We do ‘a business of the day’ promotion and I get enquiries for different suppliers through the Facebook page so I am able to give out the names of the various businesses advertising. I aim to grow the Network so if anyone is interested in getting involved they can phone me on 087 9789318 or email equestrianbusinessnetworkire@gmail.com.”

The booklet is available on the Facebook page Equestrian Business Network Ireland and if you are involved in a Riding Club or Pony Club and would like a supply, please contact Tara directly as she is keen to get it out for the equestrians of Ireland to refer to.
