TO date, over €45,000 has been donated to the Friends of St Luke’s for Cancer Care by the organisers of the annual charity pony show at Kilronan Equestrian Centre which takes place on Monday next, June 4th.

Clear round jumping will run all morning, but the focus of attention will be on the Derby Arena where course builder and host, Helena Dawson, is preparing to feature the ‘Beast From the East’ as she did at a recent Kilronan Riding Club show.

The action gets under way at 9.30am with a lead rein Derby which will be followed by 60cms, 70cms and 80cms classes and then a mini performance championship. There will a championship following the two Connemara Derbys (for riders under 16 and for riders over 16) and another after the 90cms, 1m and 1.10m Derbys. Finally, the judges will select a supreme champion.

There will be a dog show at 3pm and don’t worry about being peckish as the committee and their friends will be baking all weekend and the fruits of their labours can be ‘purchased’ for a donation to St Luke’s throughout the day.
