A MASSIVE 60,000 visitors are set to descent on Tullamore National Livestock Show which will be offering over 1,000 competitions and will feature 2,000 plus animals in their annual massive one-day show on Sunday, August 12th next.

Supported by the Irish Farmers Journal and FBD, the show takes place on a 250-acre site which will be bustling with 5,000 entries and 700 trade stands across six catering villages.

Just one hour from Dublin, there will be shuttle buses operating on the hour from Tullamore’s O’Connor Square to the site for those not wishing to bring a car, and for those that are driving, there are 20,000 free car parking spaces.

There’s a host of children’s entertainment on site with everything from fancy dress dog competitions to duck racing.

There’ll be rare breeds and a pets’ corner as well as art and photography exhibitions and pony classes (entry on the day).

The National Invention Awards and the Oldlums All Ireland Home Baking Championships will take place as well as the Macra National Farm Skills competition and the National Forestry Village.

We all know how important safety is and there will be a Garda Advice Centre on site as well as a Farm Safety Demonstration, and talks, tips and hints workshops.

In short, there’s truly something for everyone at Tullamore.
