IT’s all systems go for the Kilmacanogue and District Horse Show Society who are busily organising the 43rd show which will be held in Monastery, Enniskerry, on Saturday, July 30th next.

Founded in 1972, the main purpose of the show was to raise money for charity. To date the show has raised well over €100,000 for charity thanks to the generosity of sponsors, spectators, exhibitors and friends.

The Kilmacanogue Show is a great family day out and the children’s pony classes are the highlight of the year for many local children. With entries from near and far, the showing classses include Irish Draughts, hunters, Connemara ponies and miniature horses and ponies.

Also on the day there will be carriage driving, working hunter competitions, a sheep show, photography and scarecrow classes plus the very popular family dog show. There will be pony rides, face painting and other activities and trade stands.
