The mare was the leading mare at last year’s inaugural Stepping Stones to Success league at the venue.

At the start of the series, the Master Imp five-year-old was owned by Andrew Byrne who had qualified her for the young event horse class at the RDS in 2012. The bay, who was bred by Michael Phelan out of a Duca di Busted dam, was then purchased by Jinnie, with the ride going to Joseph Murphy.

Two of Joseph’s existing owners, Suzanne Finlay and Sandra Haugh, have since bought into HL Mrs Imp. The plan is for the mare to do her first novice as soon as the season commences and hopefully take on the challenge of a CCI during the summer.
