HIS many friends in the thoroughbred and showing worlds will wish Conor Higgins a ‘bon voyage’ on his Australian travels.

Conor, who was most recently based at Willie Mullins yard, leaves for Oz next Tuesday and visits to the Melbourne Cup and the Coolmore operation are on his itinerary for the next 10 months.

JUDGING

The former Philip Scott protégé is hoping to follow in his mentor’s footsteps by also doing some judging at Australian horse shows and plans to return next summer in time for the Galway Races and Dublin Horse Show, where he made his main arena steward debut this summer under the tutelage of Faith Ponsonby.
