Irish international high performance coach Ian Fearon and Paul McKenzie, SJI national training chairman will explain the system and the evening will include ridden demonstrations of the standards from bar one to bar three. The evening is open to HSI coaches, owners, riders, coaches and all equestrian enthusiasts.

SJI’s Connaught region hosted recently hosted a master Class with Ian Fearon on the training system at Upper Mace Equestrian Centre. The event attracted a large turnout of enthusiastic pony and young riders, their parents and coaches from the region.

Irish medal winning and Grand Prix riders Cathal Daniels, Jessica Burke, Shane Goggins and Stephen Moore joined Ian to help demonstrate the flatwork, lateral movements and jumping exercises contained in the Five Bar system as he went. There was hugely positive feedback from everyone on the night.
