CAVAN EC celebrates its 21st Annual Home Pony International this weekend with people coming from all over Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales to take part.

Held from Thursday, July 9th to Sunday, July 12th, over 40 ponies are travelling from Britain alone to compete over the weekend in all the classes but especially for the team events.

Included in the four day events are classes from newcomers 50cms all the way up to 148-1.30m. One of the biggest attractions of the week will be the team’s event today (Saturday) commencing with the 128 Under 10’s, followed by 128 teams, 138 teams and 148 teams. This is always an exciting afternoon of show jumping for both competitors and spectators. Sunday will host the Grand Prix events starting from 128 Under 10’s, 128, 138 Brian Taggart Memorial and 148 Kerry Turkington memorial.

International course-builder Marino Vos from Holland, who is one of the best course builders in Europe, is building the courses alongside Stuart Clarke, Alan Lynch and Alistair Megahey. Don’t miss it as there will be some fantastic rounds, set to produce some top-class competition.
