FANS of the legendary Bruce Springsteen who missed catching a glimpse of him at the RDS can now get their hands on a precious piece of memorabilia from the week.
Bruce may have had a busy time celebrating his daughter Jessica’s double of wins in the Nations Cup and also the Anglesea Stakes but he still took time out to autograph a show catalogue for a worthy cause.
Friends and colleagues of Dublin native David Fitzgerald have been tirelessly raising funds since his untimely death in a road accident in mid-March, and came up with this great idea for fans of ‘The Boss’.
David worked as a paramedic supervisor with the Ambulance Service in Portlaoise and lived in nearby Mountrath. He leaves behind his heartbroken wife Joanne, and children Emma, Luke and Mia.
The signed catalogue is currently up for auction on Ebay, (see www.ebay.ie/itm/151382742580) with a starting bid of €200. If not sold online it will be added to a growing list of super items which will be raffled during the ‘David Fitzgerald Family Benefit Draw’ in the Heritage Hotel, Portlaoise on September 26th.
For a full list of items see the Facebook page, David Fitzgerald Fund Raising Group. Donations can also be made via gofundme.com/david-fitzgerald. All funds will go directly to David’s wife and children.
