KILLINICK horsewoman Ann Lambert was most unfortunate to lose her young thoroughbred stallion Robin De La Maison last year but reports that while there is a long way to go as yet, she may have found his replacement. Ann recently had a colt by Robin out of her thoroughbred mare Get A Coin, dam previously of two colts by Killinick Bouncer (2010) and Grange Bouncer (2011) and a 2013 filly by Grange Bouncer. The owner/breeder has been competing the eldest of the mare’s stock, Bouncy Boots, in show jumping and dressage. Get A Coin, a 2001 Gothland mare, comes from the family of top-class National Hunt horses Credit Card, Run For Free and Bankers Benefit which was developed in Co Meath by the Fowler family.

Robin De La Maison, a half-brother to the point-to-point and bumper winner Just Before Dawn (by Millenary) and the eventer Model Witness (by Witness Box), was of course by Robin Des Champs, whose son Vautour was one of Willie Mullins’s eight winners at Cheltenham when he destroyed the field in the Grade 1 JLT Novices’ Chase.
