Margie McLoone

WORK commitments following her wedding in late June and honeymoon in New York and Barbados have curtailed Tegan White’s eventing. Although she rode Texan Style to finish third in the open intermediate at Crecora (2) on Sunday, and has been show jumping successfully, Sarah Ennis partnered Tegan’s Lenamore Lux at Vesey Lodge last Saturday.

The event rider cum retail associate with Savills Dublin Commercial had to get Tattersalls international out of the way before she could concentrate on her marriage to Cian McMorrow who hails from Blacklion, Co Cavan. Divisional director of the Office Letting department of rival firm Bannon Commercial, Cian had no interest in horses until meeting Tegan, who now refers to him as super groom, while his mother-in-law, Eavan White, reveals that Cian has become quite an expert on studding a horse!

The couple’s wedding took place on June 25th at St Patrick’s Church, Portrush, after which 200 guests attended a reception at the White family farm, Maddybenny, with many staying overnight at the on-site holiday cottages and B&B. Tegan’s father Philip was so pleased with how the day panned out that he now thinks Maddybenny could become a top-wedding venue. In the best tradition of such a venture, he informs us that the marquee for Tegan and Cian’s wedding was supplied by the Event Co while the catering was by Posh Nosh!
