Over 15 championships were decided on the day and, as expected, it made for some nail-biting competition.

After much deliberation from the judges, the supreme championship was awarded to Chloe Salley, riding Amesbury Vanity Fair, with the reserve supreme title going to Billie-Mae Geoghegan, riding Josephine’s Pride, the Connemara working hunter pony champion. Earlier in the day,? Margaret Miller’s Amesbury Vanity Fair, ridden by her granddaughter Chloe Salley, impressed judges enough to claim both the show pony lead rein class and the mini show pony champion.

The show hunter mini championship was awarded to Jane Gibbons’ impressive charge, Yrenfys Llynog. Ridden by Stephen Gibbons, this beautifully turned out combination booked their place in the championship after winning the show hunter lead rein class. After some tough competition, the novice show pony champion was awarded to Jennifer Torrens and Parkhill Sir Alex. This eye-catching combination caught the judge’s attention when claiming the novice 128cms show pony and later the open 128cms show pony class.

The open show pony champion was awarded to Sharlen Gone With The Wind, ridden by Amber Marane. This impressive duo had previously won the open 138cm show pony class.

The novice show hunter championship was claimed by Creganna Dancer. Ridden by Jane Field, the pairing had won the 133cm show hunter class. It was a good day for duo as they later went on to take the coloured championship.

The Torrens family were again back in the ribbons, this time claiming the title of starter stakes champion. Taking the title was Ann Torren’s Ardfrys Bailey, ridden by Jennifer Torrens. The combination was in the ribbons when claiming the working starter stakes champion.

The open show hunter champion was awarded to Chloe Lacy and Tom Thumb, winner of the open 153cms show hunter class. The judges found their mini working hunter champion in the cradle stakes winner, Its Joey Time, ridden by Liam Hayes, while Pataire Crawford claimed the open working hunter championship with the consistent Ardfry Sarabi. The novice working hunter pony championship was awarded to Ava Banahan riding It’s Shoe Time.

Cian Springate was in the also ribbons, claiming the mountain and moorland working hunter pony championship. The intermediate championship was awarded to the combination of Calvin Nugent and Muffin.

The mountain and moorland championship went to Olivia Marnane and Goldsworth Royal Salute, while the mountain and moorland mini championship was awarded to Kildare’s Hugh O’Connor, riding Dykes Diplomead.

As always the Connemara classes were hard fought. Winner of the open ridden Connemara (riders over 16 years) was Rebecca O’Connell and Callowfeenish Grey.

The pairing then went on to claim the ridden Connemara championship, while the Connemara working hunter championships was awarded to Billie-Mae Geoghegan riding Josephine’s Pride, who had previously claimed the open ridden Connemara class (under 16 years).
