FOR many eventing regulars, the return to fully open sport following the Covid lockdown meant a return to burgers and chips on Saturdays or Sundays or, for some Saturdays and Sundays!

This year, new caterers have been contracted for Northern Region events.

Paul O’Connor, father of Eventing Ireland’s Youth Ambassador Molly O’Connor, is supplying a mobile coffee dock with speciality coffee, Bunelos donuts and sweet treats while Rory McLaughlin of Hungry Ginger is providing the hot food.

Both units were in place at Tyrella last Saturday when the NR staged its two-phase event and customer feedback has been very positive.

Concerned that his favourite order of cheesy chips might not be up to the high standard of former caterers, one attendee was pleasantly taken aback when asked if he wanted Parmesan or cheddar!
