ROLL up for tickets for the East Galway Hunt Ball which takes place on Saturday, February 13th at the Shearwater Hotel. All welcome to attend and as this is a Masquerade Ball, it should really be a lot of fun.

Flood relief fundraiser
WITH major parts of Munster, Connaught and the Midlands, still under water due to heavy flooding, don’t forget to do your bit for the charity training clinic and auction on Sunday, February 7th next at Copper Beech Stud in aid of the Red Cross flood relief.

Wexford Hunt Canter
IT is hoped that as many riders as possible will support Wexford Hunt’s event on Sunday, January 31st next at Camross. The Hunt Canter will cover a 14-mile course over both natural and fly fences and is scheduled to start at 10am.

Side saddle meets
SIDE saddle hunting has really taken off in Ireland in recent seasons and the Kilkenny Foxhounds are holding their side saddle meet at Mount Juliet on Saturday, January 30th at 11am. Home to the historic and purpose built Kilkenny Hunt kennels when the estate was owned by the McCalmont family, it’s well worth a very enjoyable visit. The Tipperary Foxhounds have a history of side saddle riding and are also hosting a side saddle meet next month. The date is Saturday, February 27th and the event will be followed by their legendary Hunt Ball, hosted at the Minella Hotel, Clonmel, this year.
