Alex Ott Appeal

THE support of as many people as possible is needed for tomorrow’s (Sunday) fun ride in aid of injured Cork horseman, Alexander Ott. The ride will leave at 12noon from The Bridge Bar, Ballyhea, off the main Charleville-Buttervant Road and will be signposted on the day. As this is a fundraiser, horses are €50 while ponies are €30 and there will be a €10 discount for every additional pony from the same family.

Aoibhinn proves fearless

WELL done to Aoibhinn Hennessy-Ruane (10) who made her debut in the hunting field with the North Kilkenny Foxhounds and loved every minute. Aoibhinn is the daughter of Helena Hennessy and no doubt, mother and daughter are already gearing up for their next hunting outing together.

Out of action

CHARLIE Ripman reports that his broken arm has been plated up and should be okay in five weeks’ time. It seems that his over-exuberant dog was the main culprit in the mishap but man’s best friend was quickly forgiven!

Estonia calling

OUT enjoying her first hunt with the Tara Harriers was Kate Numile from Estonia. Kate had a great day out, thoroughly enjoying seeing the Irish countryside from a new perspective.
