JUDY Reynolds and Vancouver K had their final outing before the upcoming World Equestrian Games at Münster CDN in Germany last weekend and a third-place finish in Sunday’s Grand Prix Special sets them up nicely for the championship.

The week began when they placed fifth in the Grand Prix on Thursday, completing on a score of 72.82%. The hotly-contested class was won by the world’s sixth-ranked combination, Germany’s Helen Helen Langehanenberg and Damsey FRH on 77.10%. Another German native, Dorothee Schneider and Faustus 94 scored 76.16% for second place.

Sunday’s score of 70.627% earned them third place in the feature Grand Prix Special, where Schneider took victory with Faustus 94 on 75.706% and placed second with Fohlenhofs Rock’n Rose on a 73.176% total.

Reynolds and Vancouver K are Ireland’s sole combination in the dressage competition at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina. The first dressage competition kicks off on Wednesday, September 12th.
