Overseas visitors

THERE is no doubting the popularity of the Galway Blazers with the international hunting community. Hunting enthusiasts came from the USA and Germany to join in their meet from Greenhouse. Pictured is Galway Blazers field-master Willie Leahy with two happy American customers, Malcolm and Liz Mulrooney from the Arapahoe Hunt in Colorado, USA.

Farewell cruel world!

NOT long for this world is the title of our hunting sketch this week, kindly supplied by Liam Clancy Fine Art in Abbeyleix.

Winner alright!

A GREAT day was had by all at Punchestown for the Huntsman’s Challenge with 18 hunts forward for the challenge. Sponsor Tom Berney of Berney Bros Saddlery in Kilcullen and Riceal Dunne, joint-master of the Bray Harriers, share a joke after she won the most appropriately dressed race-goer at Punchestown. See A69 for Leanne O’Sullivan’s report on the Hunting Challenge.
