This round of the West Leinster Region league was organised by Killcarrick Riding Club.

After the arenas had been re-laid, with the assistance of Janet Creighton of Punchestown, the action got underway with the advanced open in arena one, judged by Claire Fitzsimmons. Meanwhile, in arena two, the sportsmans class was judged by Margaret Coonan. The winner in advanced open was Daphne Scholts of Dunbyrne on the mare Ballyward Colleen, while the spoils in the sportsmans went to Deirdre Kane of Greenhills on the Connemara mare Stoneybog Stripes with a score of 66.05%.

Action continued in arena two with the advanced intermediate class and the winner here was Lisa Doran of Calliaghstown on Ringwood Spongebob with a score of 70.17% ahead of Aisling Donoghue and Whatta Ace of Old Mill.

In the open it was nearly a clean sweep for Calliaghstown as Eva Byrne followed up her win from last week on Tirney, with clubmate Louise Wilson finishing a close second. Third went to Susann Killilea of the host club.

The intermediate class was the largest of the day and it was the Troytown Grey Abbey veterinary surgeon Hugh Dillon who was victorious on Winterdown Chanelle for Ballyteague. His score of 70.62% was the highest of the day. In second was Miriam Murphy of Calliaghstown ahead of her fellow club member Ruth Masterson.

There was a change of judge for the advanced primary and primary classes, and Ruth Wiseman had Greenhills rider Olwyn Butler on Santero as the clear winner in the former with a score of 70%. Calliaghstown riders filled second and third, with Lynne Hudson (Hollywood Academy) coming out ahead of Elspeth Ohle (Chester), who coped admirably with a loose horse galloping past during her test.

The primary victor was Niamh Corbet, who rounded off an excellent day for Calliaghstown. She scored 62% on Billie Bunter to finish ahead of Madeleine Kelleher, also of Calliaghstown, and Elodie Rautou of Killcarrick.
