THE Killinick White won both of the latest rounds of the RDS hunt chase qualifiers at Adamstown and Stradbally Hall last weekend.

In Wexford on Saturday, the team consisted of Johnny Roche, Benny Walsh, James Rath and Kiera Walsh, while on Sunday the team was composed of Gary Murphy, Benny Walsh, Jenny Roche and Kiera Walsh.

The change in personnel was down to a new arrival for one of the team members. James Rath was stood down on Sunday so that he and Rachel Walsh could celebrate the arrival of their new baby boy. Frankie James Rath arrived three weeks ahead of schedule and in plenty of time for the Dublin Horse Show. All on the hunt chase circuit send their best wishes to James and Rachel.

Also busy on Sunday was Alex Buller, who was on the Newry team which came third in Stradbally.

In between hunt chase rounds, she jumped in the Puissance competition in the next ring. Jumping clear over 1.60m, she shared the win with 14-year-old Conor O’Shea and, very sportingly, gave the trophy to him to take home.

Today, Saturday, July 9th, is the final of the Hunt Chase League 2016 with action kicking off at 2.30pm at Brian Beggan’s in Fieldstown, Kilsallaghan, Co Dublin. The draw for the teams who will compete in the RDS will be made after the Fingal Hunt Chase and all are welcome to attend.
