THE 148cm category proved equally as competitive as the 138cms, with little separating the top placings in each section. Taking the win in the 148cm 80cm was Munster’s Sophie Cosgrove and Stealth, when they kept all the poles in place in 30.85. Taking the runner-up spot was Connaught’s Alex Maloney and Mulvin Blazer, clear in 31.20, followed by Tim Kehoe and IHRP Bella, clear in 31.86.

Leinster came out on top in the 148cm 90cm with Marie Maye and the six-year-old Clooncan Rose taking this victory with a clear in 29.08. Leinster also secured the runner-up spot, as Sadie Lynch and Grantstown Hannah Banana came home with nothing to add in 29.72. Third place belonged to Munster as Tara O’Connor and Full Moon Magic delivered a clear in 29.97.

Leinster also went on to take first and second in the 148cm 1m final, with Nina Smith and Carra Cave Boy delivering the fastest clear in 29.40. Lily Walsh and Uilinn Gleorte were fractions behind in 30.13 for second, ahead of Miley Rouke and Seapatrick Quality, clear in 31.43.

A total of 39 combinations contested the 148cm 1.10m final and, in the end, it was Munster’s Sarah Delaney and Kylebeag Showtime who took this title with a clear in 26.78. She was chased home by Rachel Sheehan (Leinster) riding Ballynoe Lurgan Diamond, who left all the poles standing in 27.04. Lily Walsh (Leinster) was back in the line-up, taking third with the five-year-old, Uilinn Gleorte, with a clear in 27.07.

Winner of the Ulster Region and Flexi Equine 148cm 1.10m for six and seven-year-olds was Alayna Hawkins (Connaught) and Pip Goes Pop, when they delivered a clear in 32.21. Zoe Bagnall (Leinster) wasted no time with Lady Ziggy Stardust, and a clear in 33.72 saw them secure second. Tim Hawkins (Connaught) and Heart And Soul slotted into third with a clear in 33.83.

Connaught’s Ella Cash took the win in the 148cm 1.20m when she partnered Interniki to a clear in 31.05. Leinster added to their tally as Lucy McCarthy and Gorm took the runner-up spot with a clear in 31.32. Fellow Leinster rider Robbie Sheehan secured third with Knockroe Clover Mor with a clear in 31.50.

Lucy McCarthy lodged another win for Leinster, as she partnered Maggiemae C to a clear in a time of 31.66 in the COH/Junior 1.10m. She was chased home by Gracie Kelly (COH - Leinster) riding Hermies Vh Bergerhof Z, who kept the poles in place in 31.66. Slotting into third was Eloise Trainor (COH/JU - Ulster) riding Carrickadawson Womanizer, when she kept all the poles in their cups in 32.12.

Newcomers

The Newcomers 50cm final was run as an optimum time class and winner of this title was Ulster’s Saoirse Kelly and Glen Sanchez. Taking the runner-up spot was Katie Briscoe and Dans Kid, while in third was Patrick Barron and Dreamer.

Taking the win in the 60cm Newcomers was Connaught’s Lauren Mitchell and SFG Noah, ahead of Emily Goggins and Go Furby Go. In third was Ulsters’ Isla-Grace McDaid and Lucky Day. This class was also run under optimum time.
