GERMAN world number one ranked show jumper Richard Vogel told fans this week that his top horse, the reigning European Champion United Touch S, is under veterinary care after developing an infection.
The 14-year-old stallion last competed at Spruce Meadows on September 13th, when finishing fifth in the Rolex Grand Prix.
“In light of the current situation, we would like to share an update regarding United Touch S,” Vogel said in an online update. “United is currently under veterinary care after developing an infection that requires ongoing treatment and close monitoring. He is receiving the very best care, and we are working closely with our veterinary team to support his recovery in every way possible.
“At this stage, it is too early to determine the timeline for his recovery. United’s health and well-being are, and will remain, our absolute priority.
“We know how much United means to so many people around the world, and we are very grateful for the concern, support and understanding being shown for him. We will share a further update as soon as there is meaningful progress to report.”
Pony Tales wishes United Touch S a speedy recovery and looks forward to seeing him in the ring again soon.
