WELL done and good luck to Donal O’Beirne of Hoofprints Innovation who is taking part in the Pieta House 12 Dips in December 2025 challenge to raise vital funds for the mental health support charity.
Donal, who founded Hoofprints Innovations - the preferred supplier of safety and performance equipment to Eventing Ireland competitors throughout Ireland after a critical accident on the hunting field - is undertaking the 1km cold water sea swims in December having got the green light from his oncologist to “give it a lash” while receiving radiotherapy for cancer.
His aim of raising €1,000 for Pieta House has already been passed with donations at €2,532 at the time of writing. He said: “This December, I am excited to take on the challenge of ‘12 Dips in December 2025’ by completing 12 cold water sea swims, each 1km long, to support Pieta. Their vital work in helping those affected by suicide and self-harm resonates deeply with me, and I believe that together we can make a difference.
“As I embark on this journey, I want to highlight the importance of mental health support. Every contribution helps Pieta continue their mission of providing care and resources to those in need. Your support can bring hope to individuals and families who are struggling during difficult times. I kindly ask you to consider making a donation towards my goal of €1,000. Every little bit counts and will go a long way in supporting this meaningful cause. Thank you for your generosity and encouragement as I navigate this challenge while undergoing radiotherapy for cancer. Together, we will make it through!”
