THE Irish teams which will compete at the 2026 FEI Jumping European Championship for Juniors, Young Riders, and Children in Hagen, Germany, from July 19th-26th, have been declared. Following a comprehensive selection process and a successful FEI Nations Cup campaign to date, Horse Sport Ireland (HSI) high performance youth jumping manager Denis Flannelly and the selection committee have chosen the squads to travel to Germany in a few weeks’ time.
The Young Riders’ team will consist of Timmy Brennan with Diadema Della Caccia; Tabitha Kyle with Desterly; Tom Wachman with Do It Easy; Ben Walsh with either Zenith VD Donkhoeve Z or Adastra Milo; and Coen Williams with Dominante Z. The non-travelling reserves for this squad are Eoin Brennan with Augustus Z and Aidan O’Brien with Gisbourne VDL.
The Junior team has been named as Annie Boland with Calisto Blanc; Jack Kent with Ollie Van De Klotputten; Cian McMunn and Oberon Van’t Lohof; Senan Reape with Creevagh Special; and Brid Ryan with either Cariati D’elsendam Z or GCS Jasmine. The non-travelling reserves for this squad are Lauren Adams with Caddie Z and James Derwin with Amos LZ.
The team, which will contest the Children on Horses championship, will be made up by Charlotte Foley on Chillbhrid Excel; Lucia Keane on Elia; Zahara Kirby Casola on Seraphine Van Het Weidse Hof; Ben O’Connor on either Fox Chapel or Katy Perry Terma WM; and Ellie Sheane on Monbeg Hendricks.
The non-travelling reserves for this squad are Alicia Kernan on Fantom and Blathnaid Murphy on Godiva Quality.
