THE 2025 Plusvital Premier Series kicks off next weekend with the first of seven rounds in the prestigious series taking place at Barnadown Show jumping in Co Wexford.

Plusvital is continuing its sponsorship of the league, which offers a total prize fund of approx €130,000 and invitations to the five-star international classes at the Dublin Horse Show to the top two horse/rider combinations after the Tattersalls leg. The best five results of the six rounds count.

The series will move from Barnadown to Mullingar Equestrian Centre (June 1st/2nd), Cavan Equestrian Centre (June 22nd), Maryville Stables (July 6th), National Balmoral (July 20th), Tattersalls (July 27th) and the final round at the Irish Breeders’ Classic (August 31st).

Each event in the series will offer a minimum prize fund of €15,000 as well as supplement packs. The entire league will be live streamed on both Irish Sport TV and Horse & Country via SJI Live.

Launching the league earlier this week at HHS Stud in Co Kilkenny, Plusvital Chief Executive Officer Eoin Thompson said: “Plusvital is proud to be the title sponsor of the 2025 Premier Grand Prix Series. Building on the success of last year, we are excited for the opening round on May 11th at Barnadown.

“The 2024 series was a fantastic achievement, with Patrick Hickey taking the top spot on Casago 11, closely followed by Niamh McEvoy on Jargon. The 2025 series is set to be just as thrilling, featuring a total prize fund of approx €130,000, along with two invitations to the Dublin Horse Show.”

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of Plusvital, founded by Denis O’Brien Snr in 1975.
