Aachen team named

IRISH eventing team manager Dag Albert has named his team for the CCIO4* Nations Cup at CHIO Aachen next month.

Following an excellent 2024 season which yielded Nations Cup victories at home in Millstreet as well as in Boekelo, The Netherlands, Albert has selected an experienced quartet for the German heat, including a Nations Cup debut in green for Georgie Goss.

Goss will be joined by Ian Cassells (Millridge Atlantis), Sarah Ennis (Dourough Ferro Class Act) and Padraig McCarthy (MGH Zabaione).

Albert said: “I’m very much looking forward to seeing these combinations compete in Aachen. All four combinations have strong form and there is plenty more to come from them – Aachen is always a great test of both horse and rider and I’m confident that this team can be competitive.”
