GORESBRIDGE Horse Sales is gearing up for its largest sport horse sale of the year, with the September International Sport Horse Sale extended to seven days, running from September 1st to 4th and 7th to 9th, and featuring 1,200 lots.

The bumper sale gets underway on September 1st with a strong selection of ponies and performance Connemaras. The Connemara section has a particular focus on performance-bred ponies, with potential show jumpers, eventers and working hunters.

The following three days turn the focus to horses, with 343 five-year-olds and upwards and 240 four-year-olds catalogued across September 2nd, 3rd and 4th. The sale then continues on September 7th for three consecutive days of three-year-old horses, with 426 lots catalogued.

The scale and variety of the September International remains one of its biggest attractions, offering buyers the opportunity to view such a wide selection of horses and ponies in one location, from show jumpers, hunters and riding horses to potential eventers, dressage horses, show horses, youngstock, jumping ponies and Connemaras.

A key feature of the Goresbridge sales is the performance viewing in the indoor arena, where every lot performs in strict numerical order from 9am, allowing prospective purchasers to see the horses and ponies before they go through the auction ring from 10am.

Both the performance and auction are livestreamed, giving buyers unable to attend in person the opportunity to follow the sale from home.

The catalogue will be available to view from Monday and the online gallery will be live on Thursday 27th, with each lot profile featuring photographs, videos and veterinary documentation.

All animals are sold with recent veterinary certificates, while many lots are also accompanied by X-rays.

Buyers can bid in person, online or by telephone, making the September International accessible to purchasers both at Goresbridge and remotely. The 2026 catalogue and online gallery will be available at: www.goresbridge.com.
