THERE were plenty of familiar equestrian faces at Royal Ascot earlier this week. Among them to watch their father Henry land his first Royal Ascot winner with Ascending was the de Bromhead sisters of Mia and Georgia, the latter who competed on the Children on Horses team that finished third on the podium just a few days earlier at the FEI Jumping Nations Cup Youth Series in Hagen, Germany.

Pictured alongside the de Bromheads enjoying the racing and glamour were friends and fellow show jumpers, Isabel O’Brien and Chloe and Robyn Fagan.

Also spotted in the parade ring in the company of John Magnier and the Coolmore/Ballydoyle team was Irish Olympian Cian O’Connor, alongside his wife Ruth. Cian, fresh from the Nations Cup show in Sopot and heading straight to Rotterdam for this weekend’s five-star Longines League of Nations, trains Magnier’s grandchildren Max, Tom and Alice Wachman, who were also in attendance. So too were top riders Mikey Pender, Max O’Reilly Hyland, Jessica Burke, Trevor and Shane Breen, among others.
