BRITISH riders dominate proceedings at the conclusion of the dressage phase in both four-star sections at Ballindenisk’s Autumn International. Louisa Lockwood leads the NutriScience Equine CCI4*-S having achieved a score of 34.6 aboard Jarson, ahead of the multi-medalled Tom McEwen, second with the Irish Sport Horse Class Romance on 36. Meghan Healy is currently the best of the Irish riders, fourth on 37.8 with Overis Cavalier.

In the Goresbridge Horse Sales CCI4*-S, it’s Izzy Taylor who sits at the top of the standings, having been awarded a score of 30.3 for her test with PSH Encore. The USA’s Alexa Gartenberg is in second on 31.8 with Cooley Kildaire, while David Doel and his five-star legend Galileo Nieuwmoed are third on 32.6. Incredibly, Taylor also lies first, third and fourth in the TRM CCI3*-S, where her leader is One True Barrington. Just two marks cover the top four placings, and McEwen is sandwiched in second on Maestro. The recent Blenheim winner also leads the CCI2*-L with GHS Diamanta.

Youth athlete Carla Williamson, a winner already at this venue this season, is leading the NutriScience Equine CCI3*-L aboard Powers on 29.3, ahead of Momo Sheehy and Da Vinci on 30.7. Sheehy also lies second in the Aloga CCI2*-S with TMX Herby (27.3), behind Ian Cassells and his Millstreet winner MGH Rioja (26.7). The first phase of the Michael Leonard five and six-year-old class had not concluded at the time of writing, but the clear leaders were Sarah Ennis and Fenya’s Email on 25.4.
