CONGRATULATIONS to Olivia Brooke and Erin McPartland, who recently celebrated their wedding. Olivia is the daughter of the chairman of Ascot Racecourse, Sir Francis Brooke of Glenbevan in Croom, Co Limerick. Sir Francis became a Trustee of the Ascot Authority in 2011, Chairman in 2018 and was appointed Queen Elizabeth II’s sixth and final Representative at Ascot in 2020. On the Accession of King Charles III in 2022, he became His Majesty’s Representative at Ascot.

Erin is from Highams Park, London and her parents are Peter McPartland and Janet McPartland. The newlyweds are both TV producers in London and met working on RuPaul’s Drag Race.

“We got married legally at Chelsea Town Hall in London in December,” Olivia explained. “We then had our wedding celebrations and ceremony at my parents house (Glenbevan), where my father grew up, on May 23rd. My godfather Luke Lillingston (of Mount Coote Stud, Co Limerick) led the ceremony in the Rose Garden. We then went to the Walled Garden for reception drinks, where both our dads made speeches and we cut the cake.

“The sun shone both during the wedding day and on day two. Day two was full music, Guinness, rose and an ice cream van! The sun continued to shine and it was the most special day to round off the wedding.

“We would like to thank both sets of parents, Sir Francis and Lady Katharine Brooke and Erin’s parents, Peter and Janet McPartland. We would also like to thank Mary Ryan for the most delicious wedding cake, Fiona Liston for the flowers that blew everyone away and also Louis Murphy and everyone at The Dunraven Arms, Adare, for the most delicious food and for helping us put the whole day together.

“Fiona, our wonderful florist, added fuchsias to Erin’s bouquet, which were Erin’s late grandmother Peggy’s favourite flowers, and added peonies to mine, which were my late grandmother Melissa’s favourite flowers. It was a really special touch!

“For our honeymoon, we went to Derrynane, Co Kerry, where we stayed at my cousin’s house, which has been part of my family’s happiest memories for generations. Luckily, Erin loves it just as much as me!”

And as for the engagement? “It was a joint decision, neither of us wanted to surprise each other with a ring, so we decided to plan it together,” Olivia said. “A great friend of ours, Emily Gatehouse, who works for Robinson Pelham (a jewellers in Chelsea, London) helped design the rings for us.

“Emily had to keep it quiet from everyone for months and then, when she came round to our flat in Clapham with the finished rings, she was there to watch us both put them on for the first time! I suppose we got engaged in our kitchen! This was last March 2025.”

Congratulations to the happy couple!
