AFTER a busy three days at Balmoral Show, Catherine Robinson had a trio of rides at Finvoy on Saturday, all of whom were well-placed particularly the free-running Killeshin Carsonstown, winner on a dressage score of 25.3 of the 22-runner EI 100 class.

The seven-year-old, who is on his third registered name, is by S Creevagh Ferro out of the Maltstriker mare Killeshin Malt Teaser. He had an outing at novice level a week previously at Maddybenny but, while staying on his feet, gave Robinson little chance of maintaining the partnership at the new tree trunk early on the course.

Antonia Ward’s good lead with Christopher Robin 2 (21.8) came undone when they parted company at fence 10, the water complex, but she finished second with another smart type in the seven-year-old Cobra gelding Patronus (25.5).
