GREG BRODERICK: “For anyone that had confusion over articles the past few days about Junior’s [MHS Going Global] ownership. The FEI were following up on a complaint made by an anonymous phone call. We were very satisfied from the outset that all matters were in order but this press release finalises that our entry for Rio is accepted. Going Global is in great form and we’re really looking forward to representing Ireland at the Olympic Games in Rio.”

HORSE SPORT IRELAND: “Following the submission of the nominated entries for the Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games to the FEI on June 20th, Horse Sport Ireland received a query from the FEI in relation to the ownership of the horse MHS Going Global. Horse Sport Ireland responded to this query and the FEI has today confirmed that it has no further enquiries to make regarding MHS Going Global and has no objection to the horse’s inclusion in the nominated entries list.”

FEI: “The FEI is satisfied that the Irish National Federation, Horse Sport Ireland (HSI), has taken all necessary steps to confirm the ownership of MHS Going Global and that this is in compliance with the nationality requirements for all horses on the nominated entries list for Rio 2016. The FEI has received formal confirmation from HSI that, based on their enquiries, HSI is satisfied that MHS Going Global meets those nationality requirements.
