TWELVE months ago, this renewal delivered some sparkling returns and a good clearance, so it is a disappointing to see next week’s entry reduced to just one day. That said, the content of the 160 lots appears very strong, with many entrants carrying solid competition or hunting form. Among them are a good selection of four-year-olds, as well as a notable collection of proven ponies. This quality is backed up by the list of covering sires which reveals that many of the major and most influential sires are represented in quantity.
Leading the pack, as he did for most of last season, is the 2018 sale-topping stallion OBOS Quality (9), while also featuring prominently are stablemate Future Trend (6), Lancelot (3), Dignified Van’t Zorgvliet (3) and the Irish Draught sire Rebel Mountain also with three on the ground.
