TWELVE months ago, a brisk demand for older horses with form led to a glut of good prices which in turn contributed to the sale company’s best single day’s trading for 10 years.

This year the positive trend has continued, and following on from buoyant renewals in March and May, next week’s two-day sale offers a similarly attractive catalogue

Although somewhat lighter numerically this year, the catalogue content does appear to compensate with quality as many lots entered boast solid current competition form.

Selling in descending order of ages, and kicking off with the ponies, this midsummer sale offers stock by some of the most commercial stallions in the country. Notable among them is OBOS Quality who has no less than eight progeny forward, while among the others well represented are Lansdowne (4), and Porsch (3) as well as the thoroughbreds Framassone (3) and Chinook Eclipse (3).
