SPORTING a marginally trimmed and stouter catalogue, the Goresbridge Supreme sale of show jumping foals will take place at Barnadown in Co Wexford on Saturday, August 29th.

As the appetite for these well-related foals shows no sign of abating, the team at Goresbridge will be hoping that the content of this solid collection will appeal to match or better last year’s rewarding figures, which closed with a clearance of 92%. Certainly, the success of the graduates is a testament to the format and, this time around, all 18 lots (seven fillies and 11 colts) came under the expert scrutiny of Michael Condon and Brendan Doyle.

By fashionable sires and from strong maternal lines, all have worthy credentials, but standing out among them is a half-sister to Jonathan Gordon’s Goodgraf (1.50m), as well as a filly out of a sibling to James Kann Cruz and another similarly related to ABC Quantum Cruise etc. As usual, the renewal is staged in conjunction with the Irish Breeders’ Classic show jumping championships, whose prize fund benefits from 2% of the turnover.
