PREPARATIONS are ongoing at Goresbridge for their upcoming two-day July Sport Horse Performance Sale, their first since coronavirus struck Ireland.

Goresbridge will host the sale over July 20th-21st under all the Covid-19 protocols and guidelines.

Martin Donohoe of Goresbridge said: “We will have everything in place to comply with all the guidelines and look forward to getting back with our July Sport Horse Performance Sale. Many vendors have uploaded good videos and photographs to our platform which can all be viewed by prospective bidders, so we hope people will avail of that. In addition, we can arrange telephone bidding for those who cannot travel to the sales.”

Series of sales

Also upcoming is the Goresbridge Supreme Sale of Show Jumping Foals, held in conjunction with the Irish Breeders’ Classic at Barnadown on August 29th next. Applications close on July 20th and the Kilkenny sales complex is the selection venue on July 27th.

New this year is the Select Show Horse Sale of pre-selected two- and three-year-old show horses which will be held in conjunction with the Goresbridge September International Sport Horse Sale (September 9th-16th). Again, applications close on July 20th and the selection venue is Goresbridge on July 28th.

The Goresbridge Go for Gold Sale will be held on November 9th-10th at Barnadown and the Amber Springs Hotel, Gorey for pre-selected three- and four-year-olds.

Selection days for the three-year-olds is at Goresbridge sales complex on August 6th-7th with applications closing on July 27th next. Meanwhile, the selection dates for the four-year-olds and upwards is at Barnadown on August 20th and 21st with applications closing on August 12th.
