COMMENCING at 11am sharp tomorrow (Sunday,) a lovely mix of performance horses and ponies go under the hammer at Mullingar Equestrian Centre, Co Westmeath.

Buyers are advised to come early. Lot 1 is the seven-year-old 128 cm skewbald Grade A gelding Derravaragh Two Tone who looks like a future top show jumping pony with 267 SJI points on his record.

Derryvaragh Blue Stone (Lot 2) is a grade A nine-year-old blue and white 128 cm mare with 275 SJI points. She is described as a super competitive pony with many top placings at national level.

Those looking for a nice all rounder should see Lot 4, a 12.2hh grey gelding who has competed at training shows 80-90cms. With the equivalent to 20 SJI points, he should make a great pony for the under 10s.

It is seldom that buyers are given the opportunity to purchase a six-year-old 13.2hh Connemara pony. Sophie (Lot 7), a grey mare by the famous Dexter Leam Pondi and Lady Hencon is just broken and riding. She is described as showing good ability and ready to be produced on. She will also retain this special bloodline for breeding.

In the 14.2hh section, the grey unbroken Connemara gelding Lookoutout Paparazzi (Mirahs Oyster Bandit - Buttermilk Pearl) (Lot 13) could well be one for the future.

The dun 148cm 10-year-old Class 1 mare Cavern Hill Anney (Caherlistrane Prince - Star of Loughfadda by Monaghanstown Fred) (Lot 25) has 64 SJI points. She qualified for Dublin last year and jumped double clear. This mare is described as one that will bring on any up and coming rider.

A grey unbroken four-year-old mare (Lot 40) standing 15.2hh by Cruising Ambassador and Byrnesgrove Highland (by King of Diamonds) has plenty of good bloodlines to her name and looks interesting.

Horses

In the horse section, Lot 54, the seven-year-old bay gelsing Bruce, is well used and a nice type who has competed in dressage, eventing and show jumping at riding club level.

Those in search of a nice hunter who loves jumping should see Jenny (Lot 59) a bay 166cm nine-year-old mare who looks a nice ride.

Described as a brave, honest horse with a scopey jump, Lot 63, Ruvendi, is a dark bay 168cm nine-year-old gelding whom the vendor adds would make a ‘stunning amateur’s horse’, with an SJI record up to 1.20m.
