THE second week of the Goresbridge September showcase is devoted to three-year-olds and kicks off with a new section of pre-selected entries. This inaugural venture features both potential event horses and show jumpers and was the result of an unprecedented amount of applications put forward for this year’s Go For Gold and Supreme Sale of Show Jumpers sales.

Such was the quality of the stock at the selection days that Martin Donohoe decided to incorporate a further select sale into this September fixture. All horses on offer will be presented with a full veterinary certificate and the majority will accompanied by radiographs and corresponding reports.

The select division is comprised of 60 lots to be sold on Monday afternoon, before the usual sale commences in full on Tuesday morning.

The remaining catalogue is equally full of quality, and well-related fillies and geldings appear in abundance. Sires vary, but many are by this year’s leading covering sire OBOS Quality. The Kennedy Equine’s perennially popular stallion has 32 progeny holding entries, while Lux Z is next in line with 18. Among the others to appear in number are Harlequin Du Carel (14), Pacino (13), Pointilliste ((13) and Ricardo Z (13).
