SIX vendors are consigning two lots apiece to this year’s Goresbridge Go For Gold Sale starting with the Co Galway-based operation R.C. Equine Ltd which has entered a pair of well-performed home-bred Irish Sport Horse geldings.

The second of these, the four-year-old Milchem Giovanni (Lot 13), gave owner/breeder Ralph Conroy and stable jockey Jason Doerflinger some great days out this year. The Tyson chesnut, who is out of a Silvano mare, won his age final of the Eventing Ireland Western Region young event horse series, won a Young Eventhorse Series qualifier at Orchard Lodge, finished fifth in his final at the Dublin Horse Show and, having qualified at Millstreet, finished fourth in the Burghley Young Event Horse final.

Milchem Gemstone (Lot 4), who is being sold in partnership with Eoghan McCabe, is a five-year-old by Ganesh Hero Z out of a KMS Chicago mare. The grey filled the runner-up spot in the Eventing Ireland Western Region young event horse series in the spring, qualified during the summer through the Young Eventhorse Series for the Dublin Horse Show where he placed fifth in his class and qualified for the Burghley Young Event Horse championship when second at Millstreet.

Regular vendors Brandon View Stud have two three-year-old geldings entered, the first of whom is Longfordpass El Quality (Lot 29), a bay by Lagans OBOS Quality from the family of I Spye (CCI4*S), Hi Tech (CCI4*-L) and Lates du Carel (1.45m). The home-bred Lot 49 is an unnamed son of SHS Soco Blue. The grey is out of the OBOS Quality 004 mare CSF Quality Choice, a half-sister to Wilywonty (1.45m) and CSF Whiterock Cruise (1.40m).

Shane Sinnott is selling Springrove Satisfaction (Lot 3) who has been competing in five-year-old national show jumping classes. The bay gelding by Lucky Luck is out of the Harlequin du Carel mare Hello Rose, dam previously of the OBOS Quality 004 gelding Springrove Supernova (1.30m). Hello Rose’s three-year-old by Freestyler van de Wolfsakker, Springrove Freestyle, comes up as Lot 83.
