IN the wake of April’s highly successful renewal, Cavan stages another one-day fixture next Wednesday. As before, the online buyers are likely to have a major influence, and certainly the catalogue of 152 lots has plenty to recommend.

It is both extensive and varied, and kicks off as usual with a wide selection of ponies, followed in age order by the older stock and concluding with three-year-olds. Such is the diversity of sires represented, just 13 have multiple progeny forward, and leading the pack with three apiece are Cobra 18, OBOS Quality, Sligo Candy Boy and Tyson.
