SAVE the date of Wednesday, August 2nd next in your phones and diaries for Cavan EC will be hosting its Foal Viewing on that day, well ahead of their flagship Cavan Elite Foal Sale.

The foal viewing will start at 11am on August 2nd, while the successful sale itself, which has been held for the past nine years, will be held on Thursday, September 14th.

Cavan’s Elite Foal Sale is known for returning good prices and strong clearance rates with a large number of past foal graduates going on to successful performance careers.

“We have changed the Foal Viewing date this year to allow us more time to market the actual sale. Space can be booked online at www.cavanequestrian.com,” said Cavan’s Stuart Clarke (below).

Photos of the foals will be taken on the day, which will be used for the sale’s printed catalogue and online catalogue, and videos will also be taken of each foal for the online catalogue.

All vendors and handlers must have information on the foal’s damline obtained from pedigree researcher Marcus O’Donnell, who can be contacted by email at marcusodonnell@hotmail.com and by telephone on 086 804 8604.

“For agents showing foals, we recommend that they get in touch with Marcus directly as soon as possible so that the judges will have all the pedigree/performance information to hand on the day,” said Stuart.
