The following horses noted by our reporters on their latest starts hold these engagements over the next six days:
CANELIE
Declared to run at Leopardstown tomorrow
Noted at Cork Jan 7th: Having shown up well at Gowran Park on his previous outing, he might well have finished closer to easy winner Chateau Conti, but for being hampered by the heavy fall of Hardline.
STAKER WALLACE
Declared to run at Leopardstown tomorrow
Noted at Punchestown Jan 31st: This King’s Theatre gelding had another reasonably promising showing in the listed novice hurdle where he was beaten 14 lengths into fourth by Ball D’Arc. He shouldn’t have any trouble winning his share of races.
DINARIA DES OBEAUX
Declared to run at Leopardstown tomorrow
Noted at Cork, Dec 11th: Looked a smart recruit when skating up on her Irish debut and should have plenty more to offer.
SOMEDAY
Declared to run at Leopardstown tomorrow
Noted at Punchestown April 26th: This Black Sam Bellamy gelding ran a fine race to take second behind Cilaos Emery in the bumper where he didn’t enjoy the smoothest of passages. He will take a good deal of beating if turning out for another bumper in the coming weeks.
IMPERIAL WAY
Declared to run at Leopardstown tomorrow and entered at Clonmel on Thursday
Noted at Fairyhouse Dec 4th: On his first outing since his debut second at Sligo in May, this Getaway gelding ran a pleasing race to chase home Getabird in the bumper. He should find a similar race within his grasp in the coming weeks.
MONKSHOOD
Entered at Clonmel on Thursday
Noted at Navan January 21st: He progressed from an encouraging first run at Limerick to finish third to C’est Jersey in the maiden hurdle and a maiden win is on the cards.
