Carlton Banks, who has run well in two stronger maidens, should be good enough to win. Following a pleasing introduction at the Curragh in August, he showed significant improvement when second back at that same venue next time. The form of that race has worked out exceptionally well, so from a favourable high draw he looks the one to beat.
Mickey The Steel has been disappointing as a three-year-old, failing to build on the huge promise he displayed as a juvenile. Although running consistently of late, he has dropped significantly in the weights and his best chance may lie in handicap company.
SELECTION: CARLTON BANKS

Heart To Heart improved on previous efforts when easily winning her maiden at Navan last time. With a host of those who finished behind her having subsequently franked that form, the O’Brien filly could be very well-treated off a mark of 80. The more rain that falls the better her chances are, as she looks like a different animal with an ease in the ground.
Seeingisbelieving has to be a leading contender based on his third placing in a strong sales race here last time. Better drawn on this occasion, he should be finishing fast and late from off the pace.
SELECTION: HEART TO HEART

Sounds Of Spring, a sprinter at the top of his game, can get back to winning ways. A winner at Navan on his penultimate start, he kept on strongly when second at this track last time. While his best form has come over slightly further, the testing ground should enable him to get away with the shorter trip.
Shelly Banks rates a live threat having returned to form when second at the Curragh earlier this month. Jake Coen is tremendous value for his claim at the moment so that certainly adds to her chances.

2.10 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden 7f 195y
Impero would just about be the pick in this difficult maiden despite obvious concerns about his draw. Having improved from his debut to finish second in a decent race at Leopardstown last time, he has the strongest form on offer. However, he will have to be smart from the gates as there is a danger he could be trapped wide throughout.
Bridgehead has a very similar profile to the O’Brien colt in that he too improved from a modest debut to run third last time. On that occasion he was just behind Impero so doesn’t have a huge amount to make up.
SELECTION: IMPERO
Next best: Bridgehead

Saltonstall, who is well treated by the race conditions and proven on heavy ground, should be able to add another win to his record. Despite his indifferent form figures, the seven-year-old has been running well in premier handicaps all season. A return to this sort of company, with Cian McRedmond able to use his claim, makes him the one they all have to fear.
Wuqood is a lightly raced, improving colt who rates a real threat. Second in a listed race at Leopardstown earlier this month, he has plenty in his favour as he drops slightly in grade.
SELECTION: SALTONSTALL
Next best: Wuqood.

Patrick Sarsfield should take plenty of stopping, providing he stays this almost mile-and-a-half trip. A decent performer at this level in recent seasons, his best runs have come over 10 furlongs with an ease in the ground. Having been set some stiff tasks in group company of late, this affords him an ideal opportunity to end the campaign on a high.
Camorra will have no fears about this distance as he has won over further in the past. The Ger Lyons-trained gelding arrives here in great form having won a Group 3 race on Irish Champions Weekend.
SELECTION: PATRICK SARSFIELD

3.45 Colm White Bookmaker November Handicap (Premier Handicap) 2m 25y
Duffle Coat, who looks to have been campaigned with this race in mind, can bring off a long-term plan. The grey was unbeaten in four starts over hurdles last year, before injury curtailed his season. Since returning to the racecourse earlier this summer he has been handicapped on the flat over 12 furlongs. On every start, he has stayed on strongly, giving the distinct impression that he needs this trip.
Arcadian Sunrise has enjoyed a fruitful summer under both codes, winning at Galway and York. Jamie Spencer is the perfect rider for this seven-year-old who likes to be covered up for a late run.
SELECTION: DUFFLE COAT

4.15 Congratulations To The 2021 Flat Champions Handicap 1m 2f
Rosmana is certainly worth a try over this distance as she has been finishing strongly over a mile. Joseph O’Brien’s filly stayed on late to grab fourth in a higher grade at Leopardstown last time and is bred to appreciate middle distances. It could be significant that connections have decided to step her up now.
Team Of Firsts ran better than his final placing suggests last time so could be involved in first-time blinkers. He looked a smart type when winning his maiden at Navan earlier in the year and remains one to keep onside.
SELECTION: ROSMANA
