1.30 Tally Ho Stud Irish EBF Fillies Maiden 6f

Heart To Heart is put forward to make a winning debut for a yard whose juveniles have been going very nicely so far this season. This daughter of Zoffany, whose progeny can tolerate soft going, is a half-sister to the Richmond Stakes winner Golden Horde who also won last season’s Commonwealth Cup.

A possible contender could be Dissociate who is a daughter of the top class Almanzor and is out of a half-sister to the very smart middle distance runner Observational.

SELECTION: HEART TO HEART

Next best: Dissociate

2.05 Heider Family Stables Gallinule Stakes (Group 3) 1m 2f

A chance is taken on Earlswood who will be quite at home on the likely testing ground. He won a mile maiden on heavy ground at the start of the season and then coped well with a sharp rise in class to finish a respectable third in the Dee Stakes at Chester earlier this month. He may well progress further and makes plenty of appeal in an open edition of this race. Flying Visit didn’t run well in the Dante Stakes last week but his previous second to Bolshoi Ballet in the Ballysax Stakes was a very good run. In addition he thrived on testing ground last autumn.

SELECTION: EARLSWOOD

3.50 Betway Handicap 1m 2f

Baby Zeus looks very interesting on the pick of his form last season. His fourth to Delphi in a decent handicap at Navan was quite a useful effort and so too was his third in the Ulster Derby. Even though his Ulster Derby run came over further he shouldn’t have any trouble holding his own in good company at this distance and he can deal with Aesop. The latter, who was just behind Baby Zeus in the Ulster Derby, is a formidable rival after impressing with his comeback success in a useful handicap at Cork last month.

SELECTION: BABY ZEUS

Next best: Aesop

4.20 Irish Stallion Farms EBF Habitat Handicap 1m

A chance is taken on Bopedro to follow up his victory at Cork last month. He is only running off a 4lbs higher mark here and he is a former course-and-distance winner who has given the impression in the past that he could be good enough to win at premier handicap level. In addition, he has shown an ability to run well on soft ground as evidenced by a placed run at Listowel a couple of years ago.

He could have most to fear from his former stablemate Rocket Science who showed a liking for testing ground last season and showed up well in some stakes races without quite reaching the frame. She could easily progress from three to four.

SELECTION: BOPEDRO

Next best: Rocket Science

4.55 Betway Irish EBF Maiden 1m 2f

Father’s Day might be able to make a winning debut. The fact that he has an entry in the Kind Edward VII Stakes at Ascot is encouraging and he is out of a high class mare, Fire Lily, who coped very well with the sort of conditions he is likely to encounter today. This own-brother to two winners makes plenty of appeal in a race that doesn’t appear to have great strength in depth.

Draconid looks a likely rival for the selection. He was a respectable sixth to Horoscope on his debut here in March and he posted a solid effort to chase home Probe at Killarney last week. This longer trip could suit him better.

SELECTION: FATHER’S DAY

Next best: Draconid

5.30 Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap 2m

He pulled up on his last start over hurdles but Lynwood Gold is much better judged on his previous form.

He ran well in a similar handicap to this over this course and distance last summer, he won a one-mile-six-furlong premier handicap here in July (for which he is just 3lbs higher) and he was also placed in a premier handicap at Galway.

He has solid credentials and he is given the vote over Coltor who ran a creditable fifth in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham on his last start.

This gelding won a maiden over a mile and three quarters last autumn and he looks a potential improver at this trip.

SELECTION: LYNWOOD GOLD

Next best: Coltor
