ARTHUR MOORE

PASS THE HAT

F ( 5-) NH (/3012F48P-P42)

Entered Wednesday 4.20 Guinness Kerry National

He has a lovely racing weight and he ran very well when second in the race last year and next week he will try and go one place better. He seems to be in very good form and he likes good ground. It looks very competitive but I have been happy with his preparation.

GENTLEMAN DUKE

F (/802204/0-3) NH (/01032158079/11-9)

Entered Sunday 5.05 Kerry Group Handicap Chase

He likes nice ground and he’ll take his chance in the handicap chase tomorrow. He is in very good form and he has a nice weight on his back as well.

BACK OFF MATE

F (3252/01-1) NH (518/12440-5)

Entered Thursday 3.55 Behans Horseshoe Handicap

He is another adaptable horse that has done well for us. He has won on the flat, over hurdles and fences and he has a few options next week but I’d say he might run on the flat on Thursday. He is another that seems to appreciate nice ground. He appears to be in good form and he went up 10lb for winning the last day but he has done well since and I’d be optimistic that he’ll give a good account of himself.

TOM MULLINS

CATCHERAGAIN

NH (78-62)

Entered Monday 4.35 Listowel Mares Maiden Hurdle

This mare ran well the last day at Down Royal and on the basis of that run, she should go there a contender. She has come out of the race very well and I am happy with her. She seems to be improving all the time and the likely good ground should suit her.

COLIN BOWE

KATIE DO

NH (/615/5P3-P911)

She has won her last two and she seems to be improving. I think she’ll run in a handicap hurdle at Listowel and I couldn’t be happier with her. She is up to 101 now but she has turned the corner now and she goes there a contender. She likes a bit of nice ground. She is nine now, but she has really come to herself lately and I’d like to think that there is another one in her.

PETER FAHEY

MINE NOW

NH (04462114-55)

Entered Thursday 5.35 Devon Inn Hotel Handicap Hurdle

He’ll go for a three-mile handicap later on in the week. He is very well in himself and I think the step up to three miles will suit him. He is high enough in the ratings I suppose but he likes a bit of nice ground and the flat track down there will suit him. I am happy with him and he’d have an each-way chance.

OWEGA STAR

F (4/0-3) NH (/82560-P9)

Entered Wednesday 4.20 Guinness Kerry National

He had a lovely run on the flat the last day at Gowran Park, but we’ll just have to wait and see if he’ll make the cut for the National. He has come out of that race in super form and if he made the cut, I think he’d have a chance. He likes a bit of nice ground and he has a nice weight on his back.

QUEEN ALPHABET

F (2) NH (/513122365-51)

Entered Thursday 5.00 Ladbrokes Island Hurdle

She has done very well for us this season and she’ll go for the good handicap hurdle on Thursday. I’d love to get a bit of blacktype for her and she is in very good form. She also had a very nice run on the flat at Gowran Park and she has thrived since then. While it looks a good race, I think she has a realistic chance. Johnny Burke will ride her.

RATHMUCK NATIVE

NH (/R06332231-56)

Entered Monday 4.35 Listowel Mares Maiden Hurdle

She’d be my best chance of a winner and she goes for the mares’ maiden hurdle on Monday. She likes good ground and she jumps well. She has had two good runs in maidens and that experience should stand to her. She was good when she won her bumper last year at Downpatrick and she made a couple of mistakes the last day at Kilbeggan but she has schooled well since and I expect a big run from her.

SHANPALLAS

COLOUR SQUADRON

NH (/232/2238-F31)

All four entered Wednesday 4.20 Guinness Kerry National

The plan at the minute is that they’ll all run. They all seem to be in good form. I am not sure yet which one Barry will ride and he’ll make up his mind early next week but it is a lovely pot and we’ll run whatever gets in. Colour Squadron won well the last day and Enda (Bolger) is happy with him. Shanpallas ran well when he finished third in the race last year and Charles (Byrnes) has said that he is in good shape.

MICHAEL WINTERS

REBEL FITZ

F (1/1-) NH (/211111211/1-2)

Entered Wednesday 4.20 Guinness Kerry National

He is in great form and has come out of his comeback run at Galway spectacularly well. If I said that we had left something to work going to Galway, I’d be only praising myself, but he hadn’t been out much over the summer and we were minding him. Since Galway, his coat has turned inside out and the race at Galway was like a practice match for him and his mind is great. He’ll have top weight and it won’t be easy to give the weight away but we’d be hoping that he’ll get into the money. Johnny Burke will ride him.

JAMES NASH

YOUR BUSY

NH (68210U22-41304)

Entered Wednesday 4.20 Guinness Kerry National

He worked great last week and I know he is 12 but he behaves like a six-year-old. Going into the race last year, his form was a bit in and out but he has had a much better season this year and the plan is that Katie Walsh will ride him again. He loves a bit of nice ground and with the way the weather is at the minute, he might get that next week.

ROGUE ANGEL

NH (/2B0P2PU-P541)

Entered Sunday 5.05 Kerry Group Handicap Chase

All four entered Wednesday 4.20 Guinness Kerry National

I’ll run whatever I can get in. None of them are too ground dependant and they all seem to be in good form. Rule The World was still travelling well when he slipped up in the Plate and he looked unlucky. He has been fine since and I think three miles around Listowel will suit him.

GARRETT POWER

ANNADIAMOND

NH (-8120951)

She has been in good form and she’ll go for the four-year-old maiden hurdle. She ran very well behind Zafayan at Killarney and while we have to see what else in the race, I think she has come on for that and her jumping is improving all the time. She likes a little cut in the ground and she’d be my best chance of a winner.

LILLY THE LIONESS

F (393/1258-9) NH (/04132614-412148)

Entered Thursday 5.00 Ladbrokes Island Hurdle

She has the option of running over hurdles but there is a chance that she could run on the flat later on during the week. The better the ground the better she’ll run and she seems be in super form.

CURRAGH GOLAN

NH (1272P-05461025)

He was a bit disappointing earlier this week at Galway but he is a grand horse that has held his form well and assuming he is okay, I’d imagine that he’ll go for a handicap chase next week. He wouldn’t mind a drop of rain but he seems to handle most types of ground. It’s a great week down there and I’d love to have a winner.
