WITH attention focused on the Dublin Horse Show beginning next week, there will be plenty of after show entertainment in the vicinity and Leopardstown’s Bulmer Live summer series continues next Thursday, Horse Show goers are encouraged to head for some high quality racing and music.
Leopardstown are offering all patrons of Dublin Horse Show on Thursday a concessionary entry to continue their equine pursuits into the evening. Patrons just need to show their Dublin Horse Show ticket from Thursday, July 21st at the turnstiles in order to gain entry for only €10.
The International Race Day features two Group 3 races on the card, The Jockey Club of Turkey Silver Flash Stakes and the Japanese Racing Association Tyros Stakes.
The Japanese Racing Association Tyros Stakes is always a high class race with Gleneagles (2014) and recent Belmont Derby winner Deauville victorious in recent years.
High class two-year-olds are guaranteed – last year’s The Jockey Club of Turkey Silver Flash Stakes saw recent Group 1 Falmouth Stakes winner, Alice Springs, finish second. Recent impressive maiden winners Sea Of Grace from the John Oxx yard and Jessica Harrington’s Drumfad Bay are entered.
The popular Booka Brass Band will conclude proceedings with lively entertainment on the night, an eight-piece band of professional entertainers and craftsmen. They have collaborated with artists like The Frames, Lisa Hannigan, James Vincent McMorrow, Jerry Fish, to name just a few as well as played for President of Ireland in his home, Áras an Uachtarain.
First race is at 6.00pm.
